Located in the eastern suburbs, Westleigh Wonder seamlessly blends natural charm with urban Surrandin.

The interiors of Westleigh Wonder have a soothing palette of soft, bright blue and white tones throughout every space, creating a serene ambience and clean, inviting spaces to live in. 

In the heart of the house, the kitchen emerged as a culinary haven. Mediterranean graphic blue and grey tiles adorned the walls and floor, adding a vibrant touch, while the sleek gold accents on tapware and handles added a dash of glamour.

The study, decked in luxurious teal carpet with a velvety texture, became an inviting sanctuary for work and relaxation.

Large windows frame panoramic views of the city, bathing the house in natural light and merging the coastal-like design with the urban landscape just beyond the walls.

During the initial assessment of the property, the architects were faced with a significant challenge. The external balcony structure was at a higher level than the internal space, resulting in an unexpected step up in the newly defined internal area. To overcome this challenge, the architects installed a new floor internally, effectively concealing the step-up in the building. This decision achieved a seamless level from the kitchen to the living area and enhanced the space's functionality, transforming what could have been perceived as a design flaw into a functional enhancement.

The transformation of Westleigh Wonder was not merely a visual spectacle but a meticulous blend of form and function. The existing building's low ceiling heights demanded an alternative performance solution. The architects navigated these constraints with finesse, ensuring that the design not only met but exceeded the residents' expectations.




Westleigh Wonder prioritised practicality, ensuring that every corner served a purpose and enhancing the quality of everyday living. Every room and every detail echoes the architects' dedication to creating a space where form harmoniously dances with function.

The completion of Westleigh Wonder stands as a testament to the architects' ingenuity. They overcame unexpected challenges and transformed them into opportunities for innovation, and the result is beautiful, as is the client's vision.

Westleigh Wonder

The Soffio, Vaucluse apartment

The renovation of this apartment in Vaucluse showcases a modern and stylish architectural design.
The objective was to reconfigure the layout to create a functional three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment with an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining.

The project aimed to maximize the potential of the existing footprint and comply with the constraints of the pre-existing perimeter walls in the apartment complex. The new design focused on relocating the kitchen and dining area close to the balcony, where the majority of ventilation and light was coming in, creating a seamless flow between the rooms. The master bedroom has been relocated where the original kitchen was.
Relocating the living where one of the original bedrooms was and connecting with the kitchen and dining in an open space provided the new space with cross ventilation and more natural light.
The renovation fulfilled all the client’s requirements, including a large kitchen, interconnected living spaces, and improved circulation, without compromising on space or functionality. The new design is proof of meticulous attention to detail, from the lighting fixtures sourced from Italy to the custom fittings and features such as the wallpaper and suspended range hood over the island bench. This unique blend of colours and materials exudes a warm and inviting ambiance.

The open-plan living room and kitchen area are the heart of the apartment, creating a seamless flow and connection. The kitchen, which serves as the hub of the space, is designed with practicality and ease of use in mind, featuring bronze and silver cabinetry that infuses a vibrant burst of color. The curved contemporary island bench provides ample workspace for cooking and entertaining, while the pendant range hood adds a touch of style. The Corian benchtop creates a seamless and modern look. It is made from a blend of natural minerals, making it an ideal surface for preparing and cooking, as it is easy to clean and maintain. 

This spectacular renovation has significantly elevated the apartment's value, producing a unique space. The resulting atmosphere is one of sophistication and refinement, a bespoke and captivating space that embodies elegance and creativity. 

The design and reconfiguration of the apartment promoted cross-flow ventilation through the living, dining, and kitchen spaces which effectively reduced the need for air-conditioning, thus having big cost savings for the client.

Rose Bay Apartment

The brief from the client was to transform an unrenovated three bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment on the top floor of an apartment building in Rose Bay to maximise its value.

Their goal was to 'flip' the property, and it modernised and ready for sale within 12 weeks.

Our proposal was to modernise the unit for an open-plan design. We achieved this by creating a design that would unlock the properties potential, managing construction to the clients deadline and providing interior styling so the property was looking its best.

The Ribbon House, Randwicku

The initial client brief presented a clear directive to renovate the kitchen, laundry, and bathroom of a 1930s house, while preserving the property's authentic characteristics and infusing a modern aesthetic. As a family of four, they sought to fashion an expansive living area with a seamless connection between the kitchen and dining sections, conducive to hosting guests and providing easy access to the rear outdoor space. Our design ethos revolved around the client's lifestyle requirements, and we actively solicited their input throughout the process.
Given the existing small kitchen dimensions and the laundry and toilet's inconvenient placement at the rear of the property, the new kitchen's orientation and layout were optimized to maximize functionality and facilitate social interaction around a spacious island while also providing a view of the backyard. The installation of a large window above the sink ensured that natural light and ventilation were in abundance. The kitchen's aesthetic was carefully crafted to exude sophistication, with dark blue and grey cabinetry, an Olympia Quartzite Honed Block benchtop and waterproof splash back, and satin brass diamond-textured handles. The strategically placed pendants above the kitchen island serve a dual purpose: they highlight specific areas with a warm glow and add to the overall visual appeal as a decorative architectural element. To create a striking contrast with the original timber floor. A grey Pandomo levelling compound floor was added. 

As the brief grew, the client decided to also renovate the existing bathroom and master ensuite for the first floor with a new contemporary design by maintaining the original stained glass windows. We retained the original features of the house.
The existing staircase created an enclosed feeling at the front of the entrance of the house with poor natural lighting. The new staircase we designed was a response to create a warmer, grand entrance to the house. This became a prominent feature of the house with a skylight and pendant for dramatic lighting. Using natural and artificial light was central to the design process; positioning the statement pendant and skylight above the staircase created a bright entrance. The handrail on the staircase featured geometric shapes to remind the original art deco style in a more contemporary way. Being transparent in form allows more light to flow through the space.
We used various unique materials throughout the property, including waterproof wallpaper in the wet areas, to create something out of the ordinary. Using reflective materials gave us different perceptions of other parts of the property with different views. For example, you can see the bamboo outside while standing in the kitchen. We kept the stained glass doors in the home to keep a balance between the traditional aspects and the new modern ones. We brightened the home using colours and retained the existing brick fireplace by modernising it.

The renovation of this 1930s property's kitchen was a careful balance between preserving the original character and creating a modern and functional space suitable for a family of four who loves to entertain. The elegant finishes and the contrasting modern Pandomo floor add a touch of sophistication and style to this beautiful kitchen, making it a standout feature of the home. Overall, we were thrilled to work with the client and bring their vision to life, creating a space that met their needs and expectations.

The Ribbon House, Randwick

The Jacaranda Terrace, Paddington

The renovation was a part of a two-storey terrace house in Paddington. When renovating the bathroom, we aimed to utilise the space to create a modern layout with soft geometric shapes. We embraced the use of monochromic notions by including dark fixtures and accessories to create an edgy, sophisticated look. We ensured that an abundance of natural light was incorporated to provide a great source of visibility to the area and ventilation to improve airflow. 

The new rear roof extension fills the existing space with natural light and ventilation—an excellent conversion of an unused room. The brief was to create a well-lit and cozy kids' bedroom in the unused, inaccessible attic space. We designed it in a way to fit an ensuite and walk-in wardrobe. Adding one traditional dormer to the front and a rear roof extension transformed the space into a bright and fun room.
